Considerations when booking a Mountain Host

All of our lessons are private – so your hosts time is dedicated to you alone! All of our mountain hosts are fully qualified ski and snowboard instructors with many years of experience around the world. The content and pace of the lesson is decided by you our guest. Whether you want to brush up on your ski/snowboard technique or are learning for the first time, we guarantee you lasting memories. We encourage our guests to learn as a family or group of friends and share the experience together. However, when booking your lesson there are some considerations to be aware of.

In our experience everybody learns at different speeds, factors such as age, previous experience and natural ability play a big part in this. Although our hosts are more than happy to instruct groups with mixed abilities it is important that our guests are aware that the lesson can only move along at the speed of the lowest level.

Like most things, children tend to learn a lot quicker than adults and this is where we often see our biggest splits. We would always recommend a second instructor in these circumstances.

If it is your first time on snow a half day lesson may be too short for you to get the very most out of your experience. We also encourage first time guests to book a full day lesson, the extra 3 hours you get with this lesson will give you more time to practice and refine the skills you have learnt. We always see more progress on our full day lessons.

No matter what lesson you choose to book our hosts have the knowledge and experience to get the best out of each guest and will tailor the lesson to each individual’s needs.

All of our mountain hosts wear helmets. It is our company policy that guests aged 16 or under must wear a helmet whilst on lessons. We strongly recommend that guests 17 or older also wear a helmet whilst on lessons.
